View Full Version : Getting Rid of Haze Inside the Plastic

I recently purchased some cleared 04 STI headlights, and they have quite a bit of hazing on them, so I used plastic polish, which did an alright job, but after further inspection I realized the headlights are very lightly scratched and hazed on the inside not the outside. So I was wondering, since the headlights have already been baked and opened once, is it worth it to try and do it again (ie: will I just be doing more harm then good) and use some plastic cleaner and polish on the side on the lens? I have read some things that say the inside of the plastic lens has some sort of coating on it so you can't polish it like the outside, is this true? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

since the shell of the headlights are the same, why don't you bake your stock lights and put the clear lense on the sti lights? the both have the same lense cover don't they? i was going to do that to a pair of bugeye lights a while back. just swap the lense. i know it will work for my lights, why don't you try that?

I was thinking about that actually, I might give cleaning them a try, and if it doesnt work, im going to swap lenses.
