I just installed a TBE and flashed to stage 2 91 oct map with my AP (was bone stock prior to this). In what gear does it suppose to hit target boost? The car was only able to hit target boost (0.12 from factory boost gauge, which suppose to be 17psi?) on 5th and 6th gear.
In 4th gear I was only able to hit stock boost (.1 from factory gauge).
Is this normal at all? I'd like to hear what gears your car starts to hit target boost.

On a side note, my butt dyno told me the car didn't really get much faster, but the turbo does spool sooner, is something is wrong? I suppose the change from stock to Stage 2 is VERY noticible.

I have a K&N drop in filter as well. So should I try running the high wastegate duty map to see if there's any improvement? In what gear it suppose to start hitting 17psi?

you should try HWG map to see if it helps, you should to be hit your levels at 2nd+. keep us posted after you get that map installed... has there been any knock?

Just went on the car, reload the stg 2 91 oct map and test drove the car. I am using the AP to read boost and now my boost spikes up to 18.3-18.6 psi from 3rd gear and up. :eek: So I guess spiking is not very good either?
Still only hitting around 14-14.5psi on 2nd gear though.
I am not sure how knock sounds, do you mind describe it a little so I know what to hear out for?

Hey, homi - you biatch! What TBE did you go with? Maybe now you can keep up on the strip at Firebird next track day! :devil: Just messin' around dude.

I didn't stay too long on the OTS Stg 2 map before I got my ProTune but in the short time I had it, I pretty much hit target boost (or close to it) in all gears. And with a catted dp I had no boost creep issues as well. Guess I was lucky BUT, having the ProTune made it run even better! On the OTS map I put down 275whp and 285 wtq. With a 91-oct PT map, I put down 295 whp and 325 wtq. Quite the difference my friend! :banana:

What up Sonny!! I wanna get a catted dp at first but it's a little more than what I wanna pay ha, so I went with Invidia catless dp (heat wraped and sprayed) and Espelir catback, deng this combo is f'n loud for me and it wasn't something I was looking for...ooh well guess I am stuck as it is for now :lol: I'm sure I woke up some of my neighbors while starting up the car in the garage this morning.
Yeah Protune will be in the near future along with alky injection (still deciding which kit to get and who to tune for me)
