Well, I am about to change my setup this week a little bit. I will be installing a third amp and building a new sub box. The new sub box will be either a rear firing or forward firing box ( i haven't decided yet). I am debating where to mount all the amps. Currently I have my sub amp mounted on the sub box, and the front speaker amp under the pasenger seat. My new amp is going to be a NINe.2X from ED for the sub(14" long), the old sub amp which will be going to power the fronts is an ALPINE MRV-T757 (about 14" long) and I have a PG 2.5:2 currently running the fronts that will be moving to power the rears. What I am looking for is suggestions for where to put all the amps. I am looking to retain as much width in the trunk as I can since I want to be able to put my golf clubs back there. The choices I am looking at are as follows:

1) Front amp and rear amp under the front seats. Sub amp on or above sub box.
2) Front amp under passenger seat, rear amp and sub amp on or above sub box.
3) Rear amp under pasenger seat, front amp and sub amp on or above sub box.
4) Other (please list any other ideas)

This is my first attempt at posting a poll so be patient with me if this isn't working right away

I voted for the first one for an SQ reasoning. It will cut down your cable runs and theoretically reject noise a bit better. Not likely that you'd ever hear a difference but hey, you never know.

Don't know how big your amps are..... I did 2 front firing 10s and three amps on a baffle board mounted to the rear of the enclosure, facing the rear......

Pictures available if you want/.////

Never a good idea to mount an amp on the sub box. Way to much vibration, very hard on the amps internals. Its also really easy to steal.

I mounted my two amps on the back seat.

I voted for the first one.

Right now I have two amps, 4-Channel and my Mono-Amp under the passenger seat and they fit with ease. I think if I decide to bi-amp my fronts, then I will relocate the mono amp either under the drivers seat or mount it upside down under the rear deck in the trunk.

I like the idea of having my amps in the cabin as it feels more safe to me. They're out of sight and don't take up any trunk space.

The front amp is like 14" long by 10" wide by 2.25" deep. THe sub amp has the same dimensions. The rear amp is about 10" by 10" by 2.25"

As for mounting on the sub box.... I am not too worried about the vibration factor as this is the way I have done every box I have ever had and never have had a problem. the V12 amp has actually been along for most of the ride too. As far as theft is concerned. I'm not too worried about it since I live in the middle of nowhere (not much crime) and I work at a navy owned facility with pretty high security.

Keep the suggestions comming and any pictures are appreciated.

you could so something like this ( i dont know how your trunk will be arranged) but those amps are 13.40 in. x 9.25 in. x 2.36 in.
you have 3, im sure you could fit 3 on their, angle them all? /// like that? i dont know, just throwing you a suggestion.

It might not be possible with your amps (those 2 on the seat back are pretty small), but it's an idea

the problem i face is that I need to retain the width behind the wheel wells so that I can lay my golf clubs accross the trunk. I was thinking of doing a forward firing sub with the forward amp and the sub amp mounted on the side of the box facing the rear of the trunk that way it is easy to tune and I won't have to move the rear amp.
