Need a better description. What kind of car and year? Does it happen in all gears? And at all rpm's? Can you give a better location for the noise? Driver's side, passenger side, etc.? Hopefully, it'll help someone to point you in the right direction.

yes i had a cone filter on the throttle body and it was fine before but now its realy loud even when cracnking the engine i dont know what the deal is. i had the air assist solenid replace a few weeks ago but it still idled ruff..the tech didnt replace my injectors and i dont know if that has anything to do with it, no check engine light yet, but im reseting the ecu now just to see if it will cure the problem,

Dude, take that filter off the throttle body and get a COBB CAI.
What in the heck have done to your car since I left. It seems like it has been acting up ever since then.

It could be a vacuum leak. Check all your hoses carefully.

Good luck.
