howdy all. I'll keep it quick. I'm thinking of selling the Old Grey Mule. I'm not set on it. I'm evaluating what I could get for her, and if she could find a good home. ("she" ha! she's a real person!)

So I wanted to gague interest. She's a '98 GT wagon. She's pretty well pimped out. She's just flipped 100k and she's running strong (nothing has blown up). Auto.

Short list of pimpage:

JDM 18" wheels
JDM 4/2pot upgrade/DBA slotted rilled rotors
STi/Bilstien Legacy wagon specific suspension (absolutely impossible to find).
JDM headlights
JDM Legacy momo wheel
custom STi patterned Leather/Suede interior
JDM/STi cat-back exhaust (custom fitted)
misc. JDM badges (Sti, 250T, titanium)
JDM grille
JDM stainless door sills
Lightened pulleys
Homelink compass/dimming mirror
uninstalled JDM power folding mirrors
Windows tinted (except front)
JDM sidemarkers
JDM taillights/center (center is cracked, but looks okay)
Custom painted interior, custom upholstered leather center console.
STi pedals
Nice double-din deck with iPod adapter (via hidden minijack)
I'm sure there is more, I can't think of it.

The bad:
eh. um. I've always wanted to do a strut rebuild, which Bilstien can do for about $75 per strut. it's working great, though.
small dings and scratches here and there. No bad damage.
I need to pull one part of the rear seat upholstery tight, and I never get to it. Not that hard.
The rear tire cover is a bit warped or something. I don't keep a spare down there because it wouldn't fit over the breaks. I keep a repair kit.
I never wired the high beams correctly. Not hard.
Needs new wiper blades.
I broke the clips on one of the interior panels in the back right interior pillar and re-installed it wrong. Not hard to fix.
Auto anteanna doesn't go up or down. approx $120 to fix.
Sunroof seals fine, but at high speeds whistles a bit unless you open and close it.
can't think of anything else at the moment.

I don't even want to add up how much all of this stuff cost, so I won't.

If you are interested, raise your hand, email me, PM me a price based on your own offer and bluebook + whatever the goodies are worth to you. If someone makes an attractive offer and I think it's a good match, I'll let her go. Otherwise I'll just keep her until the wheels fall off.

thanks!

Those wheels will NEVER fall off.

Quit acting like a "pimp".

Take good care of her, and she will take good care of you.

I should have contacted you when I was in LA.

What are you thinking of replacing "her" with?

I'm buying a porsche 959 next. I've always wanted one and I won the lotter.

ha. yeah right!

I want to get a classic car from the 60s-70s. Haven't settled yet. Have you seen the Lotus Cortina in racing trim? It's tempting.

I'm not being a pimp and I'm not pimping out the mule. I'm seriously looking to see if there is another enthusiast who might want to take her on now. Everyone looks for new challenges now and again.

If someone from out of state wants her, I think cars can be shipped across the country for something like $500. Or you could just drive it.

did I mention I just spent $700 on the last tuneup plus replaced the steering boots? Look at that shiny metal a$$! ;)

I would romove "dented" from your description.

I had some dents pulled while I was down there. The guy did an awesome job. PM me if you want his info.

dented is for honesty and charm. :)

they aren't big dents. just "oops" type stuff. if I keep her, I'll get 'em all smoothed out. what sort of price did you pay for that work?

Hey Monovich... ever decide whether or not to sell? Did it miss it if it went?

I have a bro down that way that was asking me BG questions... is potentially in the market.
