Does anybody have a APS Inlet with a FPgreen on their STi and if so how did you get the staggered silicon piece to hook up to the turbo? I cant get the silicon piece to hook up to the turbo without being pushed in by the intake manifold. The Inlet itself fits fine under the intake manifold. Just cant get the silicon to hook up to the turbo right. It will go on to the turbo but its still being pushed up again the intake manifold very bad.

is this a 3" green? If so, it won't fit without getting rid of the TGVs...

Otherwise, it's user error. Loosen the clamps and move the coupler around until it's right.

I thought that not needing to get rid of TGV's was one of the new APS inlet's selling points?

if you are using stock turbo or a APS turbo I dont think that you need to get rid of the TGV's at least thats what Tuning Factory said.

how far off is it?

would loosening the uppipe bolts allow for enough room to get it on correctly?

Well we got it on Saturday night. Its a very very tight fit and it will be pinched a little. For collapsing I dont think it will because the silicon piece is so small that there is no space for it to. I try and take some pics today when I try and finish it. If it was over to the right another 3-4cm it would be perfect.

I replaced the APS inlet for the Perrin inlet. MUCH better fit.

I thought the APS unit was much better?

Overall the build of the APS is much more durable but fitment is a pain. There is no give with stainless steel...

I just installed one recently with the TGVs still in place and I am running a 2.4" Green clone turbo...and the fitment it is just way tight. I don't look forward to pulling the turbo off any time soon.
