So i'm weighing my options...

I'm Frankensteining my little 16G and replacing the EVO3 wheel and 16G compressor cover with a 20G cover and billet, extended tip wheel... Or... A 20G cover with a billet 60-1 wheel.

Currently i'm running a 7CM turbine housing but i'll be upgrading that to an 8CM too.

The car is a daily driver until i decide to buy a beater for the work commute. Soooo... Which of these two options should suit my needs the most efficiently?

I'm looking for around 400WHP with daily drivable spool. End result will either be:

Option 1: 8CM TD05H 20G with billet wheel and extended tip.
Option 2: 7CM TD05H 20G with billet 60-1 wheel.

The car will be tuned on E85 btw...

Just replaced the front and rear rotors and pads on my '05 9-2x Aero. Took it out for a quick spin and the rears were making a light metal on metal squeal. Took it back apart and checked everything over and reinstalled without any issues. Took it back out and it still has a squeal to it. Here are a couple things I checked...

1) It's not the e-brake inside the drum. The car moves freely and I need to pull the handle ~3/4 of the way to even get it to work.
2) Definitely not the sqealer nor the shims on the pads. I got a good LED light in there and nothing is touching.

I ended up jacking the entire rear end up from the rear pumpkin. I turned both wheels(one at a time) and it almost sounds like its coming from the mounting area inside the drum. When I pulled the rotor off to compare it to the old one everything was identical. I made sure to clean all the surfaces very well when I put it back together. Im pretty stumped...

Been doing a lot of searching and reading trying to figure this out before it's brought to the dealership (appointment for 5/24).

Car started with no problems before the battery went dead after sitting a few weeks. Now there is no power to the fuel pump after charging the battery. I've checked all the fuses and the only ones not receiving power when the key is on are numbers 5 and 12 (under the dash). 11 is receiving power which I'm told is the one to look for. All the fuses in the engine compartment are good and receiving power too.

Swapped out the fuel pump controller with another one and still no power to the pump. Relay seems to be fine also.

From what I read the dealership has to reset the security system after it has been without power for so long. Is this true? Is there any way around this? If this is the case, what is the time period for how long it can be without a battery as this car is being prepared for an engine swap but now that's on hold as I want to know it's capable of running beforehand.

Hi all,

I ended up checking my fluids like I do regularly and after a short quick paced ride after checking the fluids I opened my hood and noticed there was a small (very small stream) of smoke coming out near my turbo. I didn't have enough time to get pictures of the actual smoke but after looking I saw that what looked to be like a bolt without a nut on it. Is that normal in that spot?

When I quickly looked at it and saw the smoke it looked like it was coming from right around that bolt. I'm hoping it's just some transmission fluid I dripped on the pipe but any suggestions would be awesome.

Much appreciated.
