with 9:1 CR on a JDM EJ205, i'm willing to bet it would give better mileage than a usdm/uk EJ205?? i'm just not too happy with the power to gas mileage ratio on my stock wrx. my civic might be marginally slower, but its alot more frugal. I get around 20 mpg now compared to almost 30mpg with the civic, although my wrx is faster, but its probably only about 1 sec quicker at the dragstrip.
Also, a jdm wrx uses a vf35, but with much higher CR, it has less lag and hits boost easier and earlier. Would i be able to get the same kind of response (less lag) if i do v34, a tune, TB?? considering the ball bearing design of the vf34 as compared to a vf35. will i overcome the lower CR with a ball bearing turbo??
