I had been driving stick for 15 years and thought I knew what I was doing driving my first WRX around after getting one at the end of May, but I could not figure out how to get things smooth - it was driving me crazy. I just kept trying to drive like I had always done on my front and rear wheel drive Nissan's and Mazda's. I was getting really frustrated with my new car. I finally read this thread over a couple of times over the weekend and then got in my car on Monday. After putting almost 6,000 miles on it, I had been driving the car the wrong way. It is amazing what kind of a difference the details can make. By just making slight adjustments, I could really feel a positive difference in the way the car drove as a whole. In short, this is a great thread that every WRX owner should read. Thanks for putting this out there Unabomber! It helped me a lot.
