As an aside... there are no NASA events within 30 min of Amherst if you're new to the area.... closest is NY/NJ at about 3+ hrs. There are other non-scca clubs that run at Ft Devens in Ayer of which offer more seat time... but would be about 1.5 hrs away (1/2 the distance to the closest NASA event).
There's also CART in Bristol CT which has a pretty bumpy lot that has been known to eat suspensions. Best surface in New England is Devens (Ayer) tho.
