A car bra is a good idea for "purpose trips" and should be removed when not required. Bras will deteriorate your paint work if left on for long terms. Reguardless of manufacturers claims the material simply does not breath properly.

Clear bras (3M) is a less sightly option but is is more permanent and may ruin your paint work if you decide to remove it in the future. It will also change the undertone depthness of your paint depending on the colour.

It is a personal decision. I prefer to remove the standard bra when I don't need it.
