I just wanted to follow up on this thread and let you all know how the day at Laguna Seca played out. Well in one word: Rain. There was soft rain, hard rain and driving rain.
All of the above suggestions helped out a lot.
For about 35 minutes the rain stopped and I thought it would be a great time to break out the ra1's
Well, I got a few good laps in and then got over confident and at turn 4 I tried the dry line before it was dry . . .spin but stayed on track.
A few laps later I passed a 'vette a lttle late going into turn 5 and spun again, this time I ended up in the gravel.
Switched back to the street tires and it began to really pour. Did one more session and went home around 3:30.
It was a great learning session and a lot of fun.
Ernie who started the thread is pretty fast in that Sti and he is also a nice guy.
Thanks for all the insight guys!
