I went to South Coast Subaru in Costa Mesa, California and I asked to get an idea the cost of changing my timing belt. He said it was going to cost $850 and he called those places that offer the timing belt changes for $169.99 for a 4 cylinder engine, but he said his included new seals and a water pump. I said, "$700 for new seals and a water pump." So I decided to walk out of the dealership.
