I think every model and year of every car ever manufactured has gone through at least a half a dozen recalls before the car actually operates as it was designed.
Any car will have it's set of problems, but some will have more than others. Only 38% problem free before the first year is over is too problematic for me. And I don't mind one or two recalls, but the subaru stonewalling I hear about on several threads is a real turn-off.
I guess I got spoiled driving Toyotas (83 Celica problem free for 400,000 km, 94 4x4 truck only one recall, fixed during a regular scheduled maintenance)
I can still see how that WRX price/performance is compelling for alot of us, though.
