The longer you wait the more miserable you'll be!

Of all the hi-performance cars I have owned -the wrx has been incredibly reliable. I have 5300 miles. The car was picked up end of 10/01. Minor gripe- driver's door window squeak(fixed with silicone spray). 2 oil changes.

2000 Audi S4- warped rotors x 2(had to wait for parts). Shifter repair. CD changer failure. Turbo boot failure.

1996 Infiniti I30t- abs failure, shifter.

1994 SAAB 9000 Aero- starter failure, computer failure(took a week for parts).

1992 Corvette- 1 recall(seatbelt).

1989 Porsche 911- computer.

All of these cars had their problems within the first 5000 miles of ownership(bought new). When I have compared to colleagues with BMW M3's, SAAB Viggens, C5 Vettes, Mercedes C43... it is very clear the Europeans can learn something from Subaru and Chevy.

The wrx is easily the most reliable supercar presently available. In addition, see how expensive parts and service can be once you are out of warranty- Subaru is still the winner. I say get one while you can, enjoy it, and be aware that you are reading the vast minority amongst an enormous sea of happy owners.
