Looks like you’re talking about the tranny crossmember assembly?
The tranny crossmember is 3 individual pieces, a front, a rear, and a center which holds the two halves together via “cushion rubber” mounts where they connect. Also on the front of the tranny crossmember assembly is a "dynamic damper" which looks like a little rubber door-stop or something. I imagine this is what you're talking about? No idea what this does other then “Dynamic Dampening”…
