Well in most cases people drive them around town and show boat them. But the University of Central Florida installed one in their D.A.R.P.A. car to get better ground clearance in their automated car. In our case we use it to stuff large tires under it so we can enter it into rally crosses and tear up the track and get the crowd to go wild. The newer Subarus have plenty of power to push larger tires so they dont need low range. Haven't you noticed when your doing 65 mph the tac is at 3500 rpms go drive a Honda and look at where its rpms are at 65... 2000 rpms in my 2001 and it only has 150 horse. If your a true enthusiast and you take your car to places were most dont get driven like up most gravel roads that lead to endless parks you will really appreciate the benefits of higher ground clearance. Lets just say ... Less scraping of those nice pretty painted bumpers and your unprototected undercarriage.
