Did you dump a valve or something? Or are you just saying you want to rebuild them to get more performance?
A cam bolt broke, damaging the cam and cam gear. When the dealership wanted $1700 to fix this on a 90k motor needing a timing belt and water pump on top of that, I said F it and got a virtually new longblock. Originally got a JDM but had unforeseen problems and am now getting a 2.5L longblock. I figured I could sell the AVCS heads to fund the build of the WRX heads.
