the greatest thing about the NW is that there is a huge resource of high horsepower cars out on the track... By meeting new people, asking for rides, and seeing the variations in torque and HP by different setups, you can get a clear picture of what you want with your car...

Online forums are probobly the greatest resource to project car research IMO - For actually defining a reason to justify having so much horsepower in a subaru (500-600 +), a person should really attend various sanctioned events, and participate in each. To each their own passion, to each their own reason for doing things.

Update on the upcoming project - Working with PDX Tuning to build the future turbo kit - exact details are in the works, but basically its a GT32R twin scroll with a target horsepower of around 490 horsepower/500 Torque @ 5500 rpm staying level until a 7500 rpm limit. This is in combination with a fully built 2.5L, with port and polished heads, and strengthened driveline/stage 4.5 exedy twin disk clutch, and much more...
I should have something more about it in about 3 or 4 months...

Til then I'll be re-working the entire under-chassis and suspension, interior/roll cage.

After the engine, turbo, and suspension - then comes the widebody, and the Advan RG-II 18X10 with some sticky Toyo's...

All this is going on while I'm stuck in ARMY in a year long deployment in Iraq... making that cash...

happy tuning!
