Based on that information, I would expect the solenoid to be energized (clicking) at idle just as I am experiencing. That is, when the ECU starts to control boost, it is allowing some 'rest' state to happen. My boost is working perfectly fine with the solenoid clicking at idle.
But TheMadScientist says this is wrong and it should be completely off at idle.
What am I missing or misreading here?
Can people who have this mod please just sound off on whether theirs is clicking at idle (regardless of it being as loud as mine)?
I have installed a "few" of these, 1 on a stock ECU, a bunch on Utec equiped cars, and some on Cobb ST equiped cars. On the utec if you have anythig but ECU in the 0% column the solenoid will click at idle. On the ST if you have anything but 0 in the WGDC maps and a boost target of vacume in the 0% tps column the solenoind will click. On the stock ECU the solenoid did not click at idle.
Hope that helps.
