Sounds like classic O2 sensor symptoms to me, from what I've seen in the past, at least. I wouldn't go to the dealer for that though, go to a smaller shop or do it yourself.
I dont... my CEL came on and off after my exauhst went on. It had nothing to do with the sensor or the cat.....
I put in the antifouler fix and A OK on the CEL.
Two mechs told him its going to be astronomical $$ for new cats and other stuff. Its not so obvious when the poeple you should trust tell you there are big problems.
It may be as simple as bad gas as it was in my case. May be the sensor too as others have reported.
depending on the cell, try the mechanical fix, the rear o2 for the p0420 cell will not cause an idle issue. it would be a front o2 only.
