That's so true. I wired a switch to mine. My buddy crashed his GT in part because of ABS. He disabled his RS's ABS too. I teach of-road driving and I know all about how to stop.
Subaru should wire a switch in at the factory. The manual says that on snow and gravel stopping time will increase with ABS. It's a Subaru, that where we drive!!! If you take the time to learn how to use the brakes properly you will find that they both have good points and the only solution that makes sense is a switch.
