You sure you don't have a utec? As far as I know, unichips never had switchable maps or a solenoid driver(could be wrong). With the utec, you can change maps while the rpm is below something like 1500. This would not help you switch maps if something happens above 1500rpm. You could use the flow and/or pressure switch to try and limit boost, or just give you a warning so you get off the throttle(or both, or other things...).
