Once again we have a little discussion. Like I have said in many threads, where I have my tank and pump has posed no problems with me.
My Alky/water temp stays pretty cool for being in the engine compartment. My tuner recently made a comment on how cool it stays for its location.
I do have a temp sensor that helps me monitor the temp. Since I have changed to the thicker tank it stays around 99 deg F which is pretty nice.
I guess when someone asks where to mount they are talking about the pump and the tank sine the instructions are obvious that the injector needs to go somewhere around the TB.
I have never had the system fail because of heat as some others have posted in earlier threads. Like you said it is nice to have such a short run to the injector.

Do you really think next to the enging near the uppipe and above the exhaust manifold is the best place to put an injection tank? How do you know he's asking where to mount the tank, and not a nozzle or something else? If the question is where is the best place to mount a tank and pump, I'd say almost anywhere as long as it's outside of the engine compartment. Mine are mounted in the drivers side fender, and it's kinda nice because ya don't need as much injection to reach the nozzle as with a trunk mount setup. Not that this would change performance, but you'd be able to use more of the stuff in the tank compared to a trunk mount.
