Again... would i like to put a new EJ257 short block in? Sure. Do I have the money? no. That means its not going to happen. Im not looking to make insane numbers here, Im looking for daily driver.

Again, from my experiences it shouldnt cost more then $250-300 for the rebuild (seals, gaskets, rings and rod bearings). That being said Ive never done it on a Subaru. Am I wrong here?
