I was at work when he called me from the ambulance. I of course left work, went home to get my car and got to the hospital asap. The doctors sounded grim as hell when I first talked to them and my dad looked like sh|t. But it turns out that he's going to be ok and should be up to his normal routine in a week or so. He had one of his arteries blocked, but the angioplasty worked perfectly and his heart should heal up well. They have to keep him at the hospital for 72 hours. I was there all day today and I'll go back up in the morning.
Healthy guy his whole life, although at 5'8" and pushing 200lbs, he could stand to lose a bit of weight. He'll be 62 in February.
