To help complete the H6 update, I’ll add a few bits here about the other H6 in my 02 WRX, which has a few small differences from Jeff Perrin’s setup. I suppose it is kind of funny that the two turbocharged H6 Imprezzas in the U.S. are driven by two Jeffs in Portland Oregon.

I owe a huge thanks to JeffP for helping me get my car up and running! Jeff really knows how to break new ground!

As some of you might remember from the other ‘Part 1 H6’ thread, my first motor suffered a pretty extreme failure related to the stock rods. The stock H6 rods are very thin, so while I was only running 12psi, that was still over 400whp or over twice the stock power. Since Jeff’s block was fully sleeved, I decided to try something more in the middle of the two original setups. I bought a new H6 case and crank, and put it together with the same rods and bearings as JeffPs setup.

For the pistons, I have a new choice as we spec’ed a custom set of H6 pistons from Mahle as well as Supertec. Take a look:
