Not more than an hour after the last screw was tightened, I drove it to it's first show ever, where it won first place in its class...
It went downhill after this show. On the way home, some giant SUV passed me in a construction zone going like 90mph. He kicked up a rock and put a nice dent just in front of my fuel door, not before taking off some paint with it.
I did manage to keep it clean though, and installed a set of custom anodized Ground Control top mount camber/caster plates that I waited months for:
That was it though, it was the last straw...the dent in front of my fuel door from the SUV bugged me so much I didn't even want to drive the car any more. It went into hiding until I made my mind up to go full tilt with this project.
