iirc, it was that the valve springs were waaay too light and were unable to close the valves against the manifold pressure. i would think that that issue was solved once the upgraded valve springs were installed.
also iirc, in the h6 things work out to your favor in the exhaust timing department, since each of the "sides" has one of its three cylinders firing every 120* of crank rotation, which means all you have to do is join 'em up with equal length headers and bring it right to the exhaust housing.
who knows though--i could be wrong on both counts.
