Well isnt that odd? Why not just market the tire as something different then? At least in the sizes that are supposedly not very popular?
I wanted the jump to a 235/40 for one of the reasons you stated also. The sidewall Height and Stiffness.. I didnt feel it was really topic related so i left it out.
As far as the different compound goes i wonder how noticeable it would be..
I guess i could always go back to the Falkens but for beating the crap out of a tire for a season the price cant be beat. I do 8 autocross's and as many track days as i can handle (schedule wise) throughout the year. I enjoy the tire more on the track than the local parking lot events. I was hoping a slightly wider version of the tire would improve things.
