When we did this swap we actually got the oil pans swapped without lifting the block, however it was very hard to do this. Most likely to lift the block you'd need to take off the headers, loosen the motor mounts and disconnect the pitch stop. That should give you a good area to work with, you could lift the engine by jacking on the foward part of the transmission that way.
