I've managed to get this weekend and do some driving tests. The first thing I've notice is the engine does does bog down when pulling off. The old 2.2L just didn't have enough grunt to do any good lauches. My normal lauch on stage was just drive off the start line. Even though the engine has done only 26 miles and a few hours engine running it's early days. Now this conversion is no STI turbo job so expect any neck breaking jerks between shifts. The power is there and the engine pulls strong. There seems to be lots of torque which is good for rallying. Today my friend with a turbo Legacy is coming over for a test drive so it will be interesting to see his reactions. Oh yeah the equal length header might not be everyone's Subie sound but with one straight through muffler it's damn loud and sounds like a WRC Peugeot 206/Ford Focus which I can live with.
I took my daughter out in it yesterday and she thinks it's way "cool"
