A tough IM tech could still fail you for the "visual" inspection. I had a Neon a few years ago that I put a header on. The header was CARB legal but the stickers had burned off. Since he saw a "non-factory" exhaust modification, he failed me and wouldn't even hook up the OBD2 port or the sniffer.
wow the sticker burned off on the headers...how could the manufacturer not have seen that coming?
