Post Anyone run NASA events?

I ran one of their autox's last year at the Meadowlands (NY Football Giants stadium) adn it was very interesting.

The course was very open (relative to SCCA) and you could hit 3rd gear in a couple spots. They do fastest time in class for a daily winner but award season points based on a total time for a set number of laps - rewarding consistency and emulating a road race.

Anyone do much of this? Opinions? I know the local SCCA power-that-be are VERY irritated at the NASA people, partly for the competition and partly for believing that NASA events are inherently dangerous. Truth be told, the higher speeds DO put you at more risk but I've seen MANY accidents at SCCA courses (usually from too-small venues).
