I am a member of 2 clubs that run autocrosses at VMP. NASA-Va. and http://www.VMSC.org
Begining sometime last year 4 runs became standard. NASA has 5 Ax's there this year. VMSC has 12, check our web site. On most courses I usually get in 3rd twice, sometimes once and sometimes three times. Besides the shear size it's a great site because they have compressed air right there, large bath rooms, a grand stand providing a great view of the course and food and gas choices within 3 miles. Run times are usually around 48-54 sec. for me and I was the VMSC year end class champ for S/P which my STS car gets lumped in with. Karen Karus is the NASA Ax director and usually gets "name" autocrossers to do the course design. Plus they have a "Pro" class which draws the big guns from up to 200 miles to run. Over all I'd say the courses are about equal between the two clubs now that Karen is the director. Pre registration is recommended for both clubs and can be done on line.
