go!

will be riding up and down hill for fun... cross country trips. full suspension please.
don't care about new or used as long as it is reliable. i will be gentle on it... i am too old to fall and get hurt.
How about this: http://nh.craigslist.org/bik/387110880.html
This may be too small (at 5' 11" you would likely want a Medium if not a Large size frame) and it may be a little too DH oriented to ride "up and down" a hill.

I've seen some decent all-mountain type bikes on there over the past few weeks. Giant AC, Cannondale Jekyll, Specialized Big Hit - you find these in the area.

Also, if you are looking to spend $1000, you can get a NEW full suspension bike. I know S&W is running a big sale b/c of their new shop in Concord. EMS has a full suspension Ironhorse for $800. Nault's sells new & used stuff at good prices. Gooddales has a few shops in NH and I've been happy with the guys there. Look at local shops and see what they have - you may find a brand new 2005-2007 model for about what some joker on CL would charge you used...
