Then of course during the middle of the cruise, they decided to stage impromptu drag races *while* the cruise was ongoing.

But yeah, rules are needed, I agree.
See, this is precisely what I want to avoid. I want to make sure GPS cars are spread thru-out the convoy - all the way down to having them marked with a # and G (painter's blue tape) so in case we break up, people know who to follow. That is why I will have a tail end with radio and GPS to pick up the stragglers.

Impromptu races ? I will be the first to stop the convoy (or at least those of us mature enough to disapprove upon this behavior), copy down the license plate and pending behavior of those involved, decide as a group what to do. Ostracism can go a long way. Or phonecalls.

Listen, I am not Margaret Thatcher - and I do not rule with an Iron Fist and i do not always a model driver. But much as I pride myself in being Michael Schumacher's biggest fan in the galaxy, I do not pretend I am him on the road and I dislike asshats.

Bottom line is, I want this event regulated and I know we can have fun as a large group even if we do not all know each other. If you want to enjoy the hopefully autumn weather (by then, since now it seems more like July outside) and you can follow some simple common sense rules...come play with us. We will make beautiful turbocharged boxer music together.
