The valves hit the pistons because wrong spec pistons. I don't think there were any valve reliefs cut in these pistons.

I agree with that it could be either. But on the other hand this was my second motor this particular motor has had 3 separate failures the third one being catastrophic didn't make me feel like I wanted to mess with this builder anymore personally. Besides a car with oversized cams and oversized valvetrain should have pistons with valve reliefs right? I don't see any valve reliefs besides the ones the valves relieved them selves on.
