correct! you leaked because you did not have the correct axle seals. i dont think it has become that misleading. it shouldnt be that hard to understand that 05+ axles use a different hub then 04 sti and ALL wrx's. this is documented in the choice of wheels and struts between wrx's/04 sti and 05-08 sti's. if one can not figure that out, they need not be swapping trannies.

one question that i do have though. if one were using 06 axles/ male ended, and a stubbed 04 6mt, could i simply swap out the inner cv boot for an 02-05 female ended inner cv boot? i do not want to take the stub out of the tranny and do not want to mess with replacing the WHOLE axle. just wondering if this was possible.
