Default subie newbie has a couple of questions

I just bought my first subaru ever the other day, a 90 Legacy AWD wagon.

I see that the timing belts are to be changed out every 60K miles, but I haven't been able to find on here whether or not the EJ22 is an interference engine. If the belt breaks, do valves hit pistons?

Are there any other tasks that should be done while doing the timing belt? It looks like I need a front crank seal, so I will doing that while I am in there.

Anything else I should know about this job?

Where can I obtain a subaru factory service manual for this car? When I go to the subaru website, it looks like they don't have one for a car this old.

I know it is just an old wagon, not like all the brand new hot rods that seem to prevail here, but I'm hoping that someone can answer these questions. If there is a forum more suitable for older subarus, I would love to know about it.

thanks
