Fair enough. I've got the stock HU and will purchase a line-out converter to run into a Performance Teknique amp (50x4 @ 4ohms, 65x4 @ 2ohms). The amp is severl years old, but paid for. My car is loud (stage 2 w/various upgraded suspension bushings) and I'd like more sound w/o distortion. I'm no audio expert, but it seems that given similar specs, the component system is preferred over the coax. I've also read that tweeter placement (direction) is important, and the coax would be aiming it at the ankles. My concern is whether aftermarket tweeters would fit in the stock location, behind the doorcard. All the pictures I've seen seem to have them mounted to the doorcard.
