christoph -- how difficult was the wiring harness to work with? i've got a 94 WRX ecu sitting here, and was wondering how huge of a hassle it is to get everything running. that (and a little $$$) are all that's holding me back from making a scary torque steering FWD rocket sled saab-aru.
with the stock L body work of course.
as for the tranny, provided you don't beat on it hard (i.e. drag launches), you should be fine. a friend of mine just did a B4 swap (converted to single turbo, and somehow miraculously running off the 1.8 ECU), and dropped it in a 96 brighton, and his 1.8 tranny with about 100,000 miles on it is still fine, even after several auto-x's.
