You do not need any grease. Just leave whatever grease exists on the rack well alone.
Reuse the old clamps.
The only things you need to buy are the boot and the cotter pin. You can reuse the cotter pin, too, if you can't find a replacement. Just be careful with the old one.
Also, belts psteering belt has cracks, but thats about it. According to Chiltons, that is acceptable, and one should not be too concerned. the other alternator belt looks perfect - strange. But, how difficult is it to change these too? Looks straight fwd, but are their any tricks or secrets to these I should know. Will probably do this after the boot gets fixed.
You should replace the belts every 60k miles. They are cheap enough.
No tricks, just basic hand tools. Do not forget to loosen the bolts that hold the adjusters in position. It's not difficult at all.
