I bent back the dust shield. It now comes out to almost flush with the OD of the rotor, where before it wrapped around the rotor.
There is no easy way to change the dust shield. It appears to be tack welded to part of the hub assembly. If you wanted to change to the correct shield you'd either have to pull off the old one and tack on the H6 shield, or do some major disassembly/reassembly of the rear hubs.
Kevin (gtguy) was going to look into if he could get the H6 rear dust shields on there, but that was months ago.
I got my parts from Irvine Subaru (www.spimotorsports.com
). I think most dealers, if you give them a part number, will be able to get you just the bracket, they came in a box specific for the bracket.
