I think I worte the book on the real costs of an Sti swap
not something I am proud of BTW (some serious check wiritn gwent on!), but glad that I was among the first in the country to do it, so the rest of the people know what they are really in for.
My swap took forever to do (it was among Rallisepc's first ones, and I couldn't lay up my own car in our shop for that long, plus I had no desire to do the wiring), cost way more than expected (about 45% more due to a variety of things), but in the end I was happy...and when the car put down its "new" numbers, I was all smiles.....
and then the new owner makes it from NY to the southwest forget what state0 in 2 days without insurance (yikes!), and no problems....
I would, and will, do it again though, but this time with an early AWD sedan
