If you try to start it and it seems to be a little tight or hard to turn over that usually means it has gotten coolant on the top of a piston and it is trying to compress it. If it's loosing coolant you will see coolant dissapear from the overflow tank.
They make a inexpensive coolant checker to check for gasses in the coolant.

If it hasen't done it anymore maybe it's ok.
