From the reading i have been able to do since last night, it seems its possible to remove the valve and remove the CEL code form the ECU (via some sort of EM) and be fine. Now if i can just find a good diagram of how all the vacuum lines are connected to that and what exactly they all do, i will be able to get my FPR back into one of those lines with the purge valve removed.
