but aren't head bolts supposed to be torqued in a certain order to ensure proper distribution of force on the mating surfaces of the head and block to prevent said distortions, assuming the deck faces are true and level?
if the torque plate does simulate the forces, then i guess it would minimize the distortion caused by the assembler that wouldnt be as methodical.
