I am looking at a 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS, and it looks like it`s in decent condition. The guy probably drives it moderately hard, and it has some dents and the brakes squeal. Also, the parking brake warning light is always stuck on (does that mean anything?). It has 55,000 miles on it, 2nd set of tires, and second pair of brakes; the clutch is original. My question is this:
Are there any Subie experts out there that can tell me what the compression, etc, on a car like this should be at 55,000 miles? Also, are there any spots I should look out for, and does what I`ve said sound reasonable or should I avoid this particular car?
I am looking for a car that will last me a long time, because I am in school and don`t have much money to spend.
