JaiMak, don't know about duty or customs, but when I checked the Transport Canada web site, the 99-00 Impreza doesn't meet our "stringent" bumper crash test standards. I was thinking of buying an American Impreza and importing it. But if I have to swap the bumper, then what's the point?
H5N1, yeah, just get it shipped US Postal Service. Forget UPS/FedEx, they both charge $20-$30 brokerage fees. If you go USPS, then it's price + Duty (if applicable) + GST + PST (in B.C.) + $5 Canada Post handling charge (to collect the GST+PST, go figure, CanPost charges you $5 to collect the PST+GST for the gov't). Though, the handling charge may be higher if you shipping a set of OZ wheels or that v.5 front bumper (don't know for sure).
